Membership and Subscriptions

Membership is open to anyone interested in the Objects of the Association. Owning a smallholding is not a prerequisite for becoming a member. Individual smallholders and intending smallholders come from a wide variety of backgrounds and interests. Former or present occupations include housewives, builders, civil servants, bank staff, journalists, business managers, solicitors, professors, engineers, farm workers, scientists, doctors and nurses.

The annual subscription of £18 covers up to two adults and any children who have not reached the age of 18 years, and are living at the same address as the adult members. The subscription becomes due on the date of joining and then on the anniversary of this date.

Organisations may only become Associate Members at the discretion of the Executive Committee and they are not entitled to vote on any matter.
