Introduction to Poultry Keeping

A group of would be (and current) poultry owners met up at Northlew to partake of the one day "Poultry for Beginners" course. It was a very enjoyable day with everyone delighted with what they had seen and heard and all going away with plans to either get started with a small number of hens or improve their flock as soon as possible. Gillian Dixon certainly knows her stuff and the day flew by with everyone having learnt a great deal from choosing and buying birds to day to day care and management of a flock. I would certainly recommend this course for anyone interested in keeping poultry even if you already have a small flock.
