485/81 Equine First Aid and Common Ailments

A one-day course run in partnership with Sophie Hill, an equine vet who has 26 years horse owing experience, and Understanding Horses. This course aims to look at equine first aid and common equine ailments and problems, and what you can do to help. The course will include subjects such as: What to keep in an equine "First Aid Kit"; how to monitor breathing, heart rate, and temperature in horses; when you should be calling a vet; emergency situations; cuts and wounds; what to do in the event of certain health problems including colic and laminitis.

If you would like to reserve a place on any of the courses we run please contact me by telephone, email or post to check with me for availability.

To book your place on a course please send me:
1. Your name, address, phone number and membership number.
2. The number, name and date of the course you wish to attend.
3. A cheque made out to DASH for the full amount per person attending
4. A stamped addressed envelope for each course (if you’re booking more than one) for the return of your receipt, course voucher and instructions.

Children are allowed on some courses at half price. Please check before booking.

Please note: if you need to cancel your place on a course, and you hope for a refund of your fee, then I do need at least two clear weeks’ notice so that we can try to fill the place. Likewise, please let me have your cheque and sae at least 2 weeks before a course to confirm your place. Thank you.
